DATAllegro IQR Intelligently Routes Queries Between Data Warehouse Appliances
Aliso Viejo, CA – July 19, 2005 – DATAllegro, supplier of the premier price/performance data
warehouse appliance, today announced the release of DATAllegro IQR™ – an intelligent intermediary
that automatically directs queries between DATAllegro data warehouse appliances. The product is
priced at $45,000 per connected appliance.
DATAllegro IQR (Intelligent Query Router) can be purchased as an add-on to any of DATAllegro’s
data warehouse appliances. DATAllegro C25™ is a high capacity data warehouse appliance with a 25
terabyte capacity, while DATAllegro P3™ supports high performance data warehouses of up to 3
terabytes.
There are a variety of uses for DATAllegro IQR. When used with both DATAllegro P3 and
DATAllegro C25, DATAllegro IQR can be part of a multi-tier data warehouse that lets companies age
their data gracefully. In this scenario, the most recent data would be stored on a DATAllegro P3 for
ultra-fast query speeds. An entire copy of the data is stored on a DATAllegro C25 for queries against
historical data. DATAllegro IQR works behind the scenes, intelligently routing the query to the
appropriate appliance, without any changes to end user tools or applications. As a result data
warehouse users achieve optimal performance and capacity without added complexity.
DATAllegro IQR also supports enhanced concurrency, high availability and active/active disaster
recovery configurations.
